Hello, my name is Kate Smith and I am a class of 2023 Volleyball Outside Hitter. I have been playing competitive club volleyball for 5 years now and I would love to continue my volleyball career at a 4-year college. I am a very positive and upbeat team player who loves a challenge and is not phased by "big game" scenarios. I have been very blessed to be on a great High School team at Desert Christian Academy (Bermuda Dunes, CA) and a part of a great club program at Desert Sports Volleyball Club (Palm Desert, CA). I am a versatile outside hitter and primary passer with an early proven ability to adjust for the ball and dig for anything on the court.
Aside from volleyball, I server regularly at my Church and have been served in the Awana program the last 5 years where I intend to achieve my citation award by the time I graduate high school. At home, my family is also very important to me. I am the 2nd oldest of five and have been blessed with wonderful and positively loving and supportive parents, and 4 amazing siblings.
Academically, I am as tenacious as I am on the course, not happy with anything short of a high A. I am also very involved in student leadership through my school's ASB, where I help plan events server the rest of the student body.
